Some side projects, add-on projects for students

Some classes may have opportunities for students to do independent projects or other side projects. Here are a few ideas for additional projects that I've jotted down. If you (or your class) have other good ideas that you think might make good extra projects for students, let me know (marsh@nceas.ucsb.edu) and I'll add them to the list.
